The “Nurturing Affinity to Nature through Outdoor Learning in Special Places (NANOL)” project seeks to expand learning outside the school through supporting primary school teachers in creating learning experiences that are linked to the curriculum and to local natural contexts. Funded by the European Commission, the project brings together outdoor and environmental learning centres, National Parks, schools and universities that will work together to construct pedagogical strategies, activities and materials that help enhance school-community links and affinity to nature. The resources developed will be shared between Spain, Slovenia, Finland, France and the UK. The project started in October 2017 and will end in April 2020.
