Meeting points

Meeting Points aim to offer conference participants the chance to present work, research or daily life experience in the field of disciplinary didactics to interested audiences in a visual and graphic format. Contributions may be presented in the format of poster, video clips or slideshow, which will be presented on TV screens at the halls of the conference venue. At least one of the contribution author(s) must stay near the screen in order to discuss with interested audience. Screening times are limited to the conference programme.

Each contribution should have a maximum duration of 15 minutes.

Meeting Point works

Meeting Point proposals must be submitted to the Conference Secretary by August 15, 2009, through the event management platform ConfTool, available on this web site.

Proposals will be reviewed by two members of the organizing committee and the scientific committee. Resolutions will be published at ConfTool as of October 5, 2009.

Accepted proposals will be published on the conference website starting on January 10, 2010. Participants may check them in advance in order to facilitate the discussion.

Proposal Guidelines

Meeting Point proposals must describe an activity in a field within the conference topics. Maximum length: 800 words.

Abstracts must include the following sections:

  • Title
  • Author (s), including the following information:

Full name

Affiliation

E-mail address

  • Conference topic
  • Work format (video clip, poster, etc.)
  • Objectives
  • Techniques, resources, strategies or methods
  • Results and conclusions
  • Questions or issues for discussion

The following features will be specially considered:

  • Clear definition of objectives and methodology
  • Content coherence
  • Presence of innovative elements
  • Statement of issues for discussion

Accepted proposals will be included in the conference programme upon registration of at least one of its authors.

Participation certificates will be issued only to registered participants and delivered at the end of each workshop.

 

Accepted proposals to be included in the conference proceedings

Full papers must be submitted to the Conference Secretary no later than November 30, 2009, through the event management platform ConfTool (as .doc, .pdf, .rtf. or .zip file attachment), which will be reviewed by the conference scientific committee.


Proposal Guidelines

Poster guidelines:

Posters should not be larger than XX x XX and must be submitted in .tif, .jpg, .gif or .pcx file format.

Posters must include:

  • Poster title in original language and in any of the other official conference languages
  • Conference topic
  • Author full name
  • Affiliation
  • Author e-mail
  • 10-line abstract
  • Keywords (max. 5)

Use the following outline:

  • Introduction or theoretical background
  • Methodology
  • Results
  • Conclusions
  • References
Video clip guidelines:

Video clips should be at least 15 minutes long and must be submitted in DVD format (.avi).

Video clips must include:

  • Video clip title in original language and in any of the other official conference languages
  • Conference topic
  • Author(s) full name
  • Affiliation
  • Author e-mail
  • 10-line abstract
  • Keywords (max. 5)

 

Slideshow guidelines:

Images must be presented in .ppt or .pps file format. Slideshows should not exceed 15 minutes.

Slideshows must include:

  • Video clip title in original language and in any of the other official conference languages
  • Conference topic
  • Author full name
  • Affiliation
  • Author e-mail
  • 10-line abstract
  • Key-words (max. 5)

Use the following outline:

  • Introduction or theoretical background
  • Methodology
  • Results
  • Conclusions
  • References

Only registered authors will be included in the Conference Proceedings and will receive the participation certificate.
