The conference aims to be a point of meeting, exchange and reflection about the current state of disciplinary didactics. For that purpose, we propose different work formats: the plenary meeting, paper discussion panels, paper sessions, workshops and meeting points (poster and video clip presentations) in order to show, elaborate, dialogue and define new concepts and criteria on the conference topics to add up to the different versions that may coexist.
1. Teaching in educational institutions
2. Didactic perspectives in cultural environments
3. Comparative didactics
4. Innovation in didactics
5. Didactics of teacher training and teacher professionalization: Contributions from disciplinary didactics
6. Higher-education didactics and research
7. Contribution from didactics to the knowledge fields
8. Comparison of paradigms and perspectives in didactics research
The conference will be organized around these working formats and work dynamics in order to promote an open discussion that draws on the different ideas and contributions of the participants.
The Plenary Meeting will feature the presentations of two Keynote Speakers. The Keynote Speeches will present an interdisciplinary vision that will express the duality that currently reigns around the conference topics.
During the speeches, the audience’s questions and comments will be collected and delivered to the panel to be answered during the question and answer session. The Plenary Meeting will be recorded on video, which will be available, shortly after the conference, in DUGiMedia, the audiovisual deposit of the Universitat de Girona (http://diobma.udg.edu/).
Simultaneous translation will be provided into the official conference languages.
Paper Discussion Panels will be organized to cover the main trends and issues of the teaching activity. The Paper Discussion Panels will address the most relevant issues presented by works focused on innovation, educational or formative intervention and/or research on disciplinary didactics. The moderators will be chosen among prestigious representatives of research and intervention in disciplinary didactics, who will guide the discussion on the conference topics of innovation, intervention and research. In the discussion sessions three or four conference papers will be confronted for an open debate of the results, experiences, interventions, innovations or studies performed on the school or educational field.
Papers will be presented in parallel sessions by a moderator who will present the papers and will open a debate among participants and speakers.
Paper authors (at least one author per work) must be present at the debate to discuss work with the conference participants.
Workshops will be devoted to the exchange of practical experiences in any of the conference topics: intervention, innovation and research. A maximum of three (3) experiences will be presented by authors in the format of informational workshop and/or experience formalization workshop. Proposals must include active participation of the audience.
Meeting Points aim to offer the audience the chance to present a visual and graphic format of their work, research or daily life experience in the field of disciplinary didactics to interested participants. Works may be presented in the format of poster, video clip or slideshow, which will be presented via TV screens at the halls of the conference venue. At least one poster or video clip author must stay near the TV screen in order to discuss his/her work with interested audience. Screening times are limited to the conference programme.
