|Objectives ||Understanding the changes in aquatic ecosystems caused by human activities, and their consequences for the use of aquatic resources. |

Examination of the causes, consequences, remedies, and the restoration of eutrophication, acidification, toxic pollution, and other changes to aquatic ecosystems caused by human activity.
|Background necessary ||Two years of basic science studies and a field course in ecology (for example Field Course in Ecology 140146). |

|Duration (h) ||Lectures (20 hours), literature (Book No.2), and excursions yield three (3) credits. Additional credits can be earned by taking one or two (1-2) book examinations (Books No.1 or No.3) each worth two (2) credits. Grading for satisfactory work is from 1 up to 5. |
