The Symposium will be held at the Sala de Graus of the Facultat de Lletres (Faculty of Arts) of the Universitat de Girona (Girona, Catalonia, Spain). This Faculty is located in the restored building of Sant Domènec’s convent, in the heart of the old town of Girona, on the steep hill of the Capuchins to the east of the river Onyar. It is surrounded by beautiful medieval historical buildings and an incredible landscape, from where you can have a panoramic view of the city.

The first historical inhabitants in the region were Iberians (pre-Romans); Girona is the ancient Gerunda. Girona is welknown for Its Jewish quarter (El call) which is one of the best preserved in Europe. During the 12th century, the Jewish community in Girona had one of the most important Kabbalistic schools in Europe.
This old town environment plus the excellent and varied offer of bars and restaurants create the perfect atmosphere for networking and exchange of ideas. For this reasons we believe that this Faculty is the perfect place to hold the III Iberian Symposium on Geometric Morphometrics.
